Perícia Lab is an original true-crime documentary series from the AXN channel that unveils the world of forensic science. Hosted by actor André Ramiro, the series recreates real crimes that shocked Brazil, showcasing, with the help of renowned experts, the scientific techniques and processes used to solve each case. In this project, I served as the Art Director, responsible for conceiving the visual identity and producing the complete graphics package for the series. My work ranged from creating the logo and opening sequence to developing all the visual elements that compose the show's narrative, including vignettes, transitions, and lower thirds.
The art direction for "Perícia Lab" was built on the duality between the darkness of crime and the light of science. The visual identity seeks to translate the atmosphere of suspense and the technical precision of forensic investigation.
The color palette, dominated by deep blues and black, creates an atmosphere of mystery, while the white and cyan details represent the moments of clarity brought by technology and analysis. Key elements such as the fingerprint, data lines, and clean, modern typography were integrated to symbolize the fusion of human investigation with scientific accuracy, creating a visual language that is simultaneously dark, technological, and revealing.
